Parkinson's and Genetics Evaluation Study (PAGE)
Social & Scientific Sytems is conducting a confirmation study in preparation for a case-control, gene-environment interaction study among validated cases and noncases of Parkinson's Disease, drawn from the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) cohort.We will also collect saliva samples via mail from 7,000 potential cases and controls. To test the feasibility of various mailing strategies, We are conducting a pilot study to collect saliva samples and to obtain permission from 180 potential cases and controls.
