Knowledge Management and Information Dissemination

In the conduct of our studies, we disseminate information using diverse methods. We design communication materials (print and electronic) for investigators, including study reports, literature reviews, protocol evaluations, and analysis of methodologies. We also assist investigators in planning and convening scientific and review panels for investigators, either in-person or via Web meetings and conference calls. We conduct a variety of communications for study participants, including study correspondence, reminder letters and telephone calls, study newsletters, and Web sites.

Knowledge management includes a broad array of techniques and activities designed to transform information into knowledge and knowledge into action. It encompasses the creation of communities of practice that promote discussion of ideas and sharing of knowledge among interested parties as well as the identification and effective dissemination of best practices and lessons learned, products, messages, and ideas to key audiences. Our approach to knowledge sharing is based on a commitment to achieving results that are appropriate to local needs, promote stakeholder participation, and provide transparency and cooperation in the improved coordination of activities.
