Management Information System (MIS) for the Division of AIDS (DAIDS)
As part of the support provided to DAIDS at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), our staff developed an MIS that is used to track and assist in the management of information related to research protocols and research site and laboratory issues. The following information is included:
- Capacity data
- Personnel assignments and contact information
- Training records
- Regulatory compliance
- Protocol issues
The system supports our operational management of international HIV research networks conducting studies worldwide. We developed and implemented a customized version of the system to manage the site readiness and protocol implementation for the Strategies for Management of Anti-Retroviral Therapy (SMART) Study, one of the largest HIV studies supported by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
